Technology is a two-edged sword. It makes our lives easier in so many ways, but it also brings with it all sorts of distractions (too many to list here). President Bush may have never found WMD's in Iraq, but he could have looked a little closer to home because pretty much all of us carry around WMD's -- Weapons of Mass Distraction -- in our pockets and purses all day. It's awesome though when we discover new uses for our favorite grown-up toys that don't ratchet up the distraction frenzy, but … [Read more...] about Dominate Technology and Breathe Better with the Totally Awesome iPad/iPhone Pranayama App

Yoga for Workaholics: Yep, It Works!
Editor's note: Enjoy a guest post from Edward, who reminds us that we can integrate yoga into every facet of life! Many of us spend a lot of sedentary time sitting at our workplace desks – 40, 50, even 60 hours a week staring at a computer screen. Not good for the body or the spirit. You’ll get more done in less time (the definition of productivity) if you’re able to take a minute or two to relax and do some simple stretching and breathing exercises that … [Read more...] about Yoga for Workaholics: Yep, It Works!
A Couple YouTube Clips of that Dude Who Made the Sweet Ashtanga Yoga Posters
Two of the most popular links on Daily Cup of Yoga are the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series and Intermediate Series posters from a yogi named Axel Dinse. Have Fun Practicing Sun Salutation with Urban Yoga Monkey
I recently came across Urban Yoga Monkey, a great blog that focuses on offering practical and fun yoga solutions for those who need to unstick their minds and bodies from the grind of modern urban life. Here's one video from the blog where Beth discusses Sun Salutations from a rooftop in London (in very strong winds, no less). To see more guerrilla/urban yoga at it's finest, here's a link of Beth practicing Warrior 3 in the middle of a snowstorm. … [Read more...] about Have Fun Practicing Sun Salutation with Urban Yoga Monkey
